2017-18

Career Guidance and Placement Cell organized on –campus drive for final year UG and PG students and ten recruiters constituting language management institutes, insurance companies and Business Process Management organizations participated in the drive. Four recruiters are added this year and totally 1147 offer letters issued to the students. Students attended off-campus drive organized by Infosys, and Infosys BPM.

To expose the students about career opportunities available through competitive examinations a special guest lecture was organized for the II UG students and Mr.B.Mohan, SAIMA financial Planning, Coimbatore enlightened the students about the career options and how to get ready for the exams.

To enable the students to face the interview confidently soft skill training programme organised for III UG students, Mrs. P.Nithya Gowri, HR Consultant trained the students for self presentation, group discussion and personal interview.

Aptitude Training classes organized for III UG students in association with Adroit Technologies, IBM Business Partner.

To facilitate and motivate the students to appear for competitive examination aptitude training classes were arranged for II UG students spanning 30 hours with reputed trainers. The performance of the students is evaluated through continuous internal assessments.

Dr.C.Pushplatha, Associate Professor of Commerce and S. Preethi Assistant Professor of BCA attended one day work shop on Spoken Tutorial organized by Career Guidance and Extension Department, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore.

Mega Government Job Fair is conducted on 25/02/2018 exclusively for the public organized by Trippur District Employment Office at our college. Nearly 2150 candidates registered and 400 candidates got recruited.

Ms.P.Yasodha and Ms.S.Ponmalar Assistant Professor of Computer Science attended one day program on IT&ITeS Trends and Industry- Academia Collaboration on 24th Feb, 2018 at Sri Krishna Arts & Science College, Coimbatore.

Career Guidance and Placement Cell motivates the students to participate in on-campus and off-campus drives . On –campus drive organized in the college premises, seven companies consisting of language management institutes, insurance and Business Process Management participated in the drive. Students attended off-campus drive in Infosys , Infosys BPO, TCS, marketing and banking companies.

A Programme ‘Corporate Connect’ was organised for the II year students. Resource persons, Mr.K.S.Siddesh Ram, Chief HR Officer-KRDS, Facebook, Chennai ,Mr.Srinvasa Rao ,Senior Manager- Global Recruitment, Syntel, Chennai and Mr.Srinivasan Ramasamy, Head-Infrastructure and CloudServices,Technosoft, Chennai addressed the audience about the placement opportunities .

Soft skill training programme organised for III UG students in two phases. Mrs. P.Nithya Gowri, HR Consultant trained students for self presentation and group discussion.

Trainers from IBM conducted Aptitude Training classes for III UG students. Career Guidance and Counselling organized aptitude training for II UG students in association with Key Mind Learning India PVT Ltd, Coimbatore. The training is planned in such a way that the progress of the students can be monitored and assessed through pre- assessment, mid-assessment and final assessment.

Resource persons from Tamilnadu Graduate Association have enlightened the II UG students about civil service examination.

2014-2015

A Corporate Employability Programme was organized on 13/08/14 in association with CMC-TCS ,Chennai. Mr. Suresh kumarNetwork Head, CMC, Chennai,Mr. V.Ganesh,Placement Head, CMC, Chennai,Mr. V.Ganesh, Acc.Manager, CMC, Chennai were the resource persons.Students of B.Sc Computer Science ,b.Sc Information Technology and BCA departments participated in the programme.

An MoU between our College and CMC-TCS was signed on 13.08.2014.Our Principal Dr.G.Suguna and Mr.CA.R.Bakthavatchalam, Director, CMC Academy signed the MoU in the presence of Mr.R. Devananad,Regional Head, CMC Academy.Mr.I.Vishal, Center Head, CMC Academy.Mr. Suresh kumar Network Head, CMCAcademy, Chennai and R.Nagaraj ,Office Superintendent.

“Velai pera Thayaraagungal” Book release function was organized on 16.12.2014 authored by Mr.Karunakaran, District Employment Officer, Dindigul.The book was released by our Secretary and the first copy was received by the Director,RDC.

As an extension programme,our Placement cell supported Tripur District Collectorate office in conducting “special job-fair” on 24.01.2015 for the public.16 companies in and around udumalpet participated in the fair. Out of 1000 candidates, 400 got selected.

11 of our B.Com,B.Com(CA),BBA(CA) and B.Com(SF) students attended Youth Conclave-Youth Led Development programme on 27.01.15 and 28.01.15 at STC College, pollachi in association with Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development.

An on-line “National Employability Test” for Final year UG students was conducted on 04.02.2015.
